Psst guys, you need to read this!
If you don't want getting that cold shoulder from your girl or having tomorrow's Valentines Day become your worst nightmare ever, you need these tips to help you understand what your woman really means when she says:
ARE YOU WILLING TO: This means you better do it.
FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when they feel they are right and you need to shut up. Never use "fine" to describe how a woman looks. This will cause you to have one of "those" arguments.
NOTHING: This means "something" and you should be on your toes. "Nothing" is usually used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards. "Nothing" usually signifies an argument that will last "Five Minutes" and will end with the word "Fine".
GO AHEAD (With Raised Eyebrows): This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over "Nothing" and will end with the word "Fine".
GO AHEAD (Normal Eyebrows): This means "I give up" or "do what you want because I don't care". You will get a "Raised Eyebrow Go Ahead" in just a few minutes, followed by "Nothing" and "Fine", and she will talk to you in about "Five Minutes" when she cools off.
LOUD SIGH: This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot at that moment, and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here arguing with you over "Nothing".
SOFT SIGH: Again, not a word, but a non-verbal statement. "Soft Sigh" means that she is content. Your best bet is not to move or breathe, and she will stay content.
THAT'S OKAY: This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you back for whatever it is that you have done. "That's Okay" is often used with the word "Fine" and in conjunction with a "Raised Eyebrow Go Ahead". At some point in the near future, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble.
PLEASE DO: This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done. You have a fair chance with the truth, so be careful and you shouldn't get a "That's Okay".
THANKS: A woman is thanking you. Do not faint. Just say "you're welcome".
THANKS A LOT: This is much different than "Thanks". A woman will say "Thanks A Lot" when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have offended her in some callous way, and will be followed by the "Loud Sigh". Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh" as she will only tell you "Nothing".
Well, if any of those doesn't work, I think your cutest smile would do just FINE. Oh, I hope.

Have a nice day,Dee!
Happy Valentine's Day!!^_^
Very simple words and phrases. And yet they take on entirely different meanings. And nuances. Scary, scary. And funny - unless of course I hear a loud sigh, and that thunderclap of a word "Fine."
This is cute! Totally agree.
Thanks for dropping by my site.
hapi balentayn sayo dee...
I think I am the typical woman who says those typical words. ,,hahaha!

These are what most of us men don't know. Most of us don't know how "to read between the lines"!
Happy Valentine, Dee!

Women. And that includes me. :)
non-verbal cues and equivocation is normal to us. that's why it drive guys crazy.

You're on my blogroll now too :) By the way, can you please teach me how to do the "Continue Reading..." thingy on the posts? It's convenient and would like to do the same. Thanks :)

@Lemuel: Hi Lemuel! :) Haha. My husband's guilty of that 'five minute' remark too. Sorry that we women makes it difficult for you guys. Have a wonderful weekend! :)
@Clarissa: Hi Clarissa! Happy Valentines Day too! Hope you have a nice and romantic one. As for me, we only stayed home. We cooked chicken barbecue, though, which we don't do a lot, so that somehow made it out of the ordinary. We watched re-runs of the TV series 'LOST' which was fun. That's basically how we spent it. :) Have a wonderful weekend! And thanks so much for visiting my blog. I really appreciate it so much. :) It always makes me smile. Take care! :)

Yes, and yes..these are all proven correct. I practice all these and we always end up talking about NOTHING, and I always end up saying GO AHEAD, hahahaha! But hey, we are women, and women are hard to understand. That's why when things get confusing and complicated people would say "Maybe it's a work of a woman.." bwahahaha!
Just kiding...
Hi. thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. :) i hope you drop by again soon, okay?
i like your blog too. i like blogs that do not look cluttered. :)
where are you in davao? i haven't been there since 2006.
hi i'm back soon! :) i read your profile. we like the same movies and books! i love pride and prejudice, but the hollywood version. hehe. nakakakilig diba?
and the da vinci code and angels and demons, those books i read in one sitting! (figuratively of course, hehe)
i think we'll get along very very well. heheh...i'll link you to my blog, okay? thanks!
Haha, your post got a very lively forum. Hirap nga ung mga lalaki dahil they wanted to read between the lines when we are only up to one-liners, di ba? Lalo na ung "nothing", yan ang pinaka-philosophic one-liner natin. This will make the men "really think deep", haha!
@Mom Of Four: Hi Liz! Hahaha! Oh, I'm like that too. Yes, they do say that "Maybe it's a work of a woman." if things do get problematic. You know, I've never thought of that. Kawawa naman tayo! Haha. Hope you're well, Liz. Take good care. :)
@Reena: Hi Reena! :) It's so nice to know you! I read your profile too. I will definitely drop by again soon! I happen to really like your blog.
I used to live in Lanang. Haven't been there too since 2007.
Oh, yes, we do have those in common! Oh, I love the Hollywood Version too. Yes, I think it's more nakakakilig and romantic than BBC's. Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen were so good together. What I like about BBC naman is the way Colin Firth portrayed Mr. Darcy.:)
Yeah, I love those Dan Brown books too. I also couldn't put them down once I started it. I read those until the wee hours of the morning. Grabe! :) I love books like that - iyong you can't put it down. I wish there are more of those.
Oh, and I love Nancy Drew too! That's how I got hooked into reading. My grade school teacher used to have a library of them. Not really complete but almost, and she'd encourage us to read her Nancy Drew books. I still recall some of the titles I like. I love Nancy Drew because of the mysteries and the fact that they go to different places and countries, haha. :) I learned a lot about different places and cultures in Nancy Drew.
Oh, and I'm really interested about Egyptology too. They're quite awesome to be quite advanced for an early civilization. I just haven't got around to learning about them though. Hopefully, I will next time.:)
I'm sure we'll get along very well. Oh, I'll link you too! :) Take good care, Reena, and thanks a lot! :)
@Joji: Hi Joji! :) Hahaha! Oo nga ano! We only say a line but full of unsaid words naman yun! Hahaha! Poor boys! Take care, Joji! And have a happy Monday! :)
great blog...everything is really true about women!
men should really keep these on hand to keep them out of trouble.
thanks!
@Hahai.Ponce Hi! Thanks so much! Yes, it's true about women. ;) I take pity on the men, though. Take care and have a lovely day! :)
