25 Random Things

I got tagged by Architect Reena to talk about 25 random things about me. Thank you, Reena.

Here it is:

1. Dee is a shorter version of my rather long and ambiguous name;

2. The ambiguous one is actually one of my first names, that whenever I write it, say, on an application form, the person who takes a look at it and reads it will stop, frown, and then almost always resort to calling me with my other first name;

3. Which is not good because I don't like to be called with my other first name!

4. I am the eldest of 4 kids;

5. And all my siblings are taller than me;

6. That I always get mistaken as a college student or sometimes as a high school one;

7. Which I tend to view in the positive light and thus consider to be a good thing because at least my painstaking anti-aging efforts are working;

8. I am almost always grumpy when I'm sleepy or when I've just woken up, so stay away from me during those times;

9. I cry easily;

10. I've never owned a Barbie doll when growing up and up to now, maybe I still  wish I had one because whenever we happen to be at the toy section of a department store, I always find myself in the Barbie aisle, admiring those dolls;

11. Which is rather weird because I've never been into those skinny or emaciated images of women that we often see nowadays. They're bad for one's self esteem;

12. I'm an accelerated student in grade school which fact made me the butt of jokes in high school because they say getting accelerated isn't good;

13. As such, I finished college at age 19;

14. I'm a homeschool mom so I spend a chunk of my day teaching my son;

15. I haven't drank soda or soft drinks for at least five years now because I'm acidic;

16. I'm near-sighted that I need to wear glasses to see things that are far;

17. Which is why you shouldn't get confused if you happen to meet me without my glasses and I wasn't able to greet you. I didn't mean to snub you. It's just that I wasn't wearing glasses and I couldn't see you vividly;

18. But the thing is, I don't like wearing glasses. I don't have a choice, however, because I don't like wearing contact lenses more.

19. I love bags and shoes. Who doesn't?

20. I like to cook but I don't have much time.

21. I always wish there are 30 hours or more a day because there's so much to do and so little time;

22. I wish that I'd win the lotto. But I don't know how that would happen because I haven't even bought a ticket;

23. One of the first things I do when I wake up each morning is check my messages even if I know that what I'll be seeing is more spam;

24. My husband tells me I'm a perfectionist;

25. And he says that I'm creative and artistic. I don't know if that counts but I'm honestly running out of random things about me so we'll just include that.

There you go, the 25 random things about me.

Now, I'm passing this tag to the following bloggers who I'd very much like to know about their own 25 random things:

Clarissa, Adz, Jan, Mom Of Four, BlogusVox, MommyTaf, Joji, Elizabeth, Rose, Lemuel, Hahai Ponce, Richard, Everlito (ever) Villacruz, Niko, Payatot, Petit, Rhea, Anney.

(Note: The photo above is something that I provided on my own. It is not required for this tag. But if you wish to use it, please feel free to do so and you are welcome to it. Thank you. )

Woohoo! I think I randomly arrived just in time to find this out. Thanks again Dee. And it's lovely to be knowing more of you. Gee, i guess this is your second tag for me. And I haven't done Elizabeth's and Jan's. I am starting to give this blogging thing a second thought. Am I really suppose to be here? Adding up to my lack of writing skills, is the lack of time. I realized I needed more time to be enjoying this to the full, but ugh! There's my job to attend to in the midst of it considering that I can only sit and sneak my way into the blogosphere while I am in my office desk. It seemed unobtrusive at first but gosh, at this point I really need to get back to "real" work, haha. But I will try to "stay" here. I realized too that I'm gonna miss you guys visiting my page unmindful of my oddity, hehe...Nice knowing you Dee ",)

I like the part when the person who's reading your real name makes a double-take reaction. And that part when you find yourself gravitating towards the toys section where the barbie dolls are.

I'm nearsighted too. hahaha.

@joji: Stay, joji. Shorten your post to two paragraphs. Write as if you were twitting. Scale down to one post a week - now, that is manageable, right?

Hey, we're visiting and lapping up all your posts because your an oddball. :) Don't lose it.

cry easily, meron naman talagang ganyan na madaling umiyak lalo na kung family mo ang pag uusapan...kase ako ganun e, kapag pamilya na, anku emosyonal na po ako

Thanks for sharing these Dee! I also never owned a barbie doll when I was young. I've always wanted to have one. I bought one with lots of clothes and barbie house when I started earning money. I already feel old to have and play a barbie doll so I just kept it inside my cabinet. lol! I'm not sure if I want to give it away.

I'm impressed that you homeschool. The idea appeals to me, but I don't have the patience required of it.

Oh my, 19 is such a young age to graduate from college. It must have been exciting and scary at the same time. Me too, I'm impressed that you homeschool. It sounds like a lot of work although I've also heard that it has many advantages to it.
