Me And My Quirks

I'm doing memes for my next couple of posts because the thing is, I have accumulated quite a number of them that I'm well behind in some.

This one is something I received from Richard of Dreamworks. Thank you, Richard.

I need to list 7 facts about me as well as 7 of my quirks. The complete set of rules are listed below.

The 7 facts about me:

1. I'm a wife and a mom;
2. Particularly a homeschool mom;
3. My work involves a lot of stress;
4. I'm the reserved and the observant kind;
5. I'm a cheapskate;
6. I'm a creature of habit;
7. I love to read, play The Sims 2, surf the Internet, watch Lost and some good movies.

I checked the word quirk in our good old reliable Oxford Dictionary and it says that it means peculiarity of behavior, which lead me again to check the word peculiarity which in turn means something that deviates from what is expected.

Okay, so in short, I need to list some things which are rather unusual about me. This got me thinking really hard because I guess I pretty much consider normal the things that I do on a daily basis. But here they are, nonetheless:

1. I always crave for chocolates every time I wake up from a nap;

2. I have this habit of checking the utensils, before my family uses them, to see if they were really washed clean and no residue from previous use were left behind;

3. I sometimes give perfunctory comments when deep in thought;

4. I sometimes get caught up with what I am thinking that I hardly know what I am doing. Like I'm thinking of something at the same time that I'm clearing my desk and the next thing I know is that I've already thrown my keys in the trash. Whew!

5. When I'm browsing for books, I sometimes read the ending to know if it's something I like or something that I would want to spend time reading.

6. I sometimes want to buy something expensive, just as a way of rewarding or giving myself a treat, but I always end up buying the cheapest one in the market;

7. There's this hallway in our house wherein whenever I happen to pass through it, which is actually always, I would knock on one of it's walls without fail.
