Nighttime Blues

It's Monday night. Two days from Saturday, whence I made my last post. So I need to come up with a post now or I would consider myself slacking off. Not good. But I'm really tired after quite a long day. But I need to write something. Anything.

But then I couldn't concentrate. What with our neighbor, a Ronan Keating wannabe, apparently, doing his off key version of When You Say Nothing At All. Now, I like that song so much. Really romantic and reminds me of good old movies. Now, I'm never going to hear it again without remembering my out-of-tune neighbor. Oh well. Life.

So, I can't seem to write anything however hard I try. But I can't really sleep, either. Not because of the Karaoke ensemble next door that would surely last till the wee hours of the morning. But because deep bone exhaustion somehow does that to me. But I need to try to sleep now, though. Probably tomorrow, I'll be able to think well enough to write something that makes sense. Unlike this rant I'm doing now.

In case you're wondering, my neighbor is now doing his own version of I Will Survive. Not a good sign.

Kind of frustrating, really. You try to compose yourself in order to concentrate and find your muse, but then those meddling serenades! Oh, no! Quiet! But you write so well, Dee. Even that lack of impetus, that you feel was nothing at all. You had it all going. ",)

I bet you're in a nice neighborhood - no street toughies raising rabble. Thing is, Filipinos have no keen concept of privacy. So even in an otherwise cool community you'd suffer through bouts of karaoke madness.

To bawl out "I will survive" in a different setting will be construed as entirely asking for trouble. You'd be tempting fates. And yes, Ronan Keating wannabe might not survive. LOL. How ironic.
