Greenpeace Spoofs Kimberly-Clark's Kleenex Ad Campaign

Remember how tissue giant Kimberly-Clark, maker of Kleenex, destroys forests by cutting trees in virgin forests just to sell tissues which (tissue) are actually just used once and then thrown away? Well, they're at it still! And the thing is, they have launched a big marketing campaign that tells people that it "feels good to feel" their tissue. But as Greenpeace aptly puts it "with virgin forest in every box, Kleenex tissues comes with more than a feeling".

It is disappointing that Kimberly-Clark being the largest tissue product manufacturer in the world has not used its large industry influence to campaign and tell people to value and help save the environment. Instead, it continues to destroy ancient and virgin forests just to make tissues. Its tissues contain no recycled content.

So, here's a video which spoofs Kleenex's ad campaign.

Greenpeace has a Recycled Tissue and Toilet Paper Guide which you may find here.

They're not using recycled materials? That's strange for a big company. And I thought that the trend for big companies is to go green and be more eco-friendly.

Love this part: But as Greenpeace aptly puts it "with virgin forest in every box, Kleenex tissues comes with more than a feeling".

Some people have no clue what kleenex tissues are really made of. I just hope that people will spread the word about Kimber-Clark destroying the forest for their monetary gain.

well, siguro di nila gagawin ang mag endorse para magtipid tayo sa tissue nila dahil dun sila kumikita habang nagtatapon tayo ng tissue

Let's hope Kimberly-Clark will soon realize that they need to be part of saving the forests and earth.

@Rossel: Yes, we really need to recycle these days. Any kind will help. Happy Mother's Day too! :)

@Jan: My sentiments exactly! Big companies should be at the forefront of being eco-friendly because they have influence over people. And yet, Kimberly-Clark is doing the opposite of that; really disappointing. You can go over the website I linked in the post if you want more information.

Love that part too. Witty, isn't it? :)

@Anney: Oh yes, the more people become aware of this, the better really. :)

@Jodi: Oo nga, most probably hindi talaga dahil mawawalan din sila ng kita. :)

@Sera Melinda: Yes, hopefully. And the sooner, the better. :)
