@Caryn: Thanks, Caryn! Oh, no surprises at all, hehe. Just some greetings. But it was good over all. :)

@Reena: Thanks, Reena. :)

@Roy: Thanks, Roy. :)

@Jan: Thanks, Jan.

Oh, absolutely true! Yeah, sounds like a tagline (if I'm not mistaken that it's called a tagline), haha.

Hey, what's that last paragraph about? I didn't get that... Care to expound? :)

@Niko: Happy Mother's Day too. No celebration at all. We're just thankful for the day. :)

@Sidney: Thanks, Sidney. :)

@Clarissa: Happy Mother's Day too.

Ooh, I'm so sorry to hear about Haruka. Kawawa naman. It's good to know, though, that she's fine. I'm sure she's going to be all right. I pray that she'll be well and fine, and will continue to pray for her. Give my kisses to Haruka. God bless, Clarissa. Take care!

"I so wish I can adopt a mother."

I've lost both my parents. I miss my mother. If there's a way to adopt a mother perhaps that can stave off this melancholia. lol.

No, I don't mean mother in law.

But then again perhaps I don't need to adopt. I'd just find more old people to hang out with. ",)

I've read this article - this is way off tangent, by the way - about lonely people in Japan. They have these pet shops wherein you can rent some pets when you get lonely. Sounds ridiculous for us Filipinos, right?

But for them, it's a big deal. Well, to me whatever works. They have this admirable work ethic. Work. Work. Work. No wonder they feel empty. They can't have pets. They usually live alone - these career-obsessed people.

Pets are the solution. Or part of the solution.

But I am good. I have a dog - an askal. And we're both good. And this feeling? I'd just seek out the company my friends. And get virtual hugs whenever I can.

Oh boy, kasi naman nagtanong pa eh. Hayan tuloy. Ahihihi.

Hi Jan. I read this last night but I was so sleepy then to write a coherent response, and today, I've had a really long and tiring day that believe it or not, it's really just now that I got to sit properly in front of my computer and check my blog!

Naku, I shouldn't have asked, noh;napa-explain tuloy kita, hehe. But seriously, thanks for sharing that; I appreciate it.

Yeah, that's the part of life that really sucks - having to contend with accepting things that are not pretty and we have no control of, like losing someone for instance. Or loneliness. I kinda understand about the people in Japan. I've lived in the States for awhile and I see some people who are lonely too. And I don't blame them if they're driven to rent pets just to stave off loneliness, because being humans, it's natural that we would have it in us to crave for a connection with another human being. And if we cannot get that connection from another human being, then pets could somehow do the job. Or should I say, pets could sometimes do a better job because they give a lot and they don't demand so much. I love dogs too. And yes, virtual hugs are really nice.

Just focus on what makes you happy and that you have control over 'coz I find that that somehow works. :)

@Chubskulit: Hi, it's all right. I had a good one, thanks. Hope you had a nice one too.

And the good thing is, there are lot of things and people and even ideas than can make me happy. Simple, little things, and people - they all conspire to make one happy.

And I'm grateful for these.

And you know what - when you're blogging there's no time to be sentimental. It's a kind of discipline that makes you snap out of the doldrums, sabi nga.

Thanks, Dee!
