Phone 2.0

Computers are quickly becoming the center of modern life. We use it for a lot of things.

In the past, computers were used mainly to do computations. As it became more powerful, however, it began to take on new challenges. People started using computers to watch movies and to listen to music. It quickly became a home media center — a hub where all sorts of multimedia devices got connected.

With the introduction of high-speed Internet, new applications became possible. Applications can now reside in the server and offered as a service. Audio and video streaming became a reality.

But an important service to come out of this development is VoIP. With VoIP, people can use their high-speed Internet with their computer or a dedicated device to call others anywhere in the world at a very low cost.

Phone Power is the leading provider of VoIP service. And, what are the advantages of VoIP? A lot, actually. First, it is obviously data capable. After all, it runs over digital lines already. Then it is much more reliable. It runs on top of Internet Protocol which was designed with reliability and availability in mind. It also has more features per buck compared to conventional phones. And did I mention cheap? To learn more, check the link above or look it up in Google. You might be pleasantly surprised.
