I used to spend every single week day in a cubicle. Because it was my personal working space. I did actually love it since I designed it myself and choose all the furniture and equipment that went along with it. And I'm now realizing how I miss that cubicle and everything in it. And how I miss those times. They were good times, even if it was a time when we were just starting out and struggling to make things work.
Well, enough of that nostalgia.
Actually, I'm talking about cubicle because someone shared with me this funny list of why it would be such a disadvantage to work in a cubicle. Check it out:
"1. You can't slam the door when you quit and walk out. (I have a piece of cardboard with a knob drawn on it. I slam that quite often. Not the same effect as wood, though).
"2. Being told to 'Think outside the Box' when you're in a box all day long.
"3. Fabric cubicle walls do not offer much protection from any kind of gunfire.
"4. There are 23 power cords but only ONE outlet.
"5. When tours come through, you get lots of peanuts thrown at you.
"6. Not being able to check e-mail attachments without turning around to see who's behind you.
"7. Always having that nagging feeling that if you press the right button, you'll get a piece of cheese!
"8. Lack of roof rafters for the noose.
"9. The walls are too close together for the hammock to work right."
Can you think of anything more?
