Get A Recession-Proof Job By Being A Certified Ethical Hacker

The recent news report on job losses shows that thousands are still being laid off from their jobs. Although the number is lower compared to that of the previous months, it is still a staggering amount. Behind those numeric data are real lives, real people who are suffering from losing their jobs.

A job loss isn't the end of the world, however. There are certain avenues that laid off people can go to. They can look for another job in the same field. That may be difficult in these times, but one can give it a try. Another good option, however, is changing careers by going back to school and getting another degree or getting certified on a particular course.

Do you know that even in this recession, salaries of those working in IT Security are on the rise? Jobs in IT Security are excellent because it is one of the recession-proof jobs. An IT Security deals with the protection of information or information systems from unauthorized use, distribution, etc.. A company who wants to tighten their IT security does so by being an Ethical Hacker. An ethical hacker is a network and computer expert who sees to it that the company's security system cannot be hacked or exploited by bad hackers. Ethical Hacking is a good kind of hacking as the ethical hacker helps the company he works for ensure that the company's system wouldn't be penetrated and victimized by bad hackers.

EC-Council helps you to become a Certified Ethical Hacker through their courses and classes. They offer categories such as: Security Fundamentals; Ethical Hacking; Penetration Testing; Computer Forensics; Disaster Recovery; Secure Programming. A certification as an Ethical Hacker is important in the hacking cycle to be able to hack in accordance with law. The modality of training offered is excellent as well.

A job as an Ethical Hacker is a rewarding career. Not only is it rewarding financially, you get to become a real life hacker too (an ethical one, that is), which is cool! You become the good guy, and not the bad one.

So if you want to take charge of your career in this uncertain economy, try becoming a Certified Ethical Hacker. You get a recession proof job and get to help companies have a secure IT as well.

Hi Dee,

I didn't know there is such a thing as an ethical hacker. My perception was that, a hacker is an undesirable person online (hacking through sites which he is not supposed to)... :-D.

So they're offering courses now, really.

For me, I would like to enroll in short IT courses like web development, HTML template preparation, etc, those that have something to do with blogging. :)

Interesting post, as ever. :)

Hi Jena,

Yes, there are now courses in Ethical Hacking. Sounds really cool. Not to mention that the pay is very good! :)

Oh, web development is really good! Luc too is interested in those courses you mentioned. He even went as far as buying books about them. That's really good, Jena! That would be a good thing to pursue. Hope you get to go on with that.

Thanks, Jena. :D

Hi Dee,
It was, and still is a plan. Work is so toxic, and blogging adds to this toxicity! lol. All the best.

Hi Jena,

Oh, I can relate to that. That's why I sometimes wish we have more than 24 hours a day! There just seems to much things too do and so little time, haha. :)

Maybe I'll just take it one at a time.

Take care, Jena! :)
