Good Lighting

It is so difficult to get some quiet around the house these days. As I mentioned before, the lot next to ours has just been bought. After ten years of having been vacant and affording us plenty of sunshine, light and air, that lot is now under construction. A new house is being built and along with it comes the constant noise brought about by the hammering, drilling and some other much noisier sound that are so bothersome. I'm not fine with it, but nothing can be done really. So we just take in all the noise with all the grace we can muster.

And as if having to bear the irritating noise isn't enough, a tall wall was built too between our lot and theirs, thus blocking much light from entering the part of our house adjacent to theirs. As a consequence that portion of our house is now darker. The areas affected are the study and a bathroom, among others. The thing is, when we installed lights to those rooms, we didn't use lights which are very bright since it was already well lighted enough from the natural light outside. But now, with this gigantic wall in place, we need to reinstall new study lights and modern bathroom lighting to remedy the situation. I would like the new lighting to be the kind that would make those areas of the house I mentioned, well lighted. The lighting will have to look nice, of course, and must complement the existing decor. I found lighting choices from Lighting and Living great enough to suit what I want. They are a trusted source of home decor and lighting, and have over 45 years of lighting background. They offer updated designs and are committed to providing excellent quality at a great price - important considerations when looking for a good lighting.

wow! house improvements on the way dee. if given a chance, i would want my house to be built in the middle of the field, for me to enjoy lots of sunshine and a good ventillation inside the house.

ang pinakaimportante dapat yung apektadong area kailangan din may ventilation...dahil kayo ang nauna sa area dapat magkaron sila ng setback kahit 60cm away man lang from the bathroom ventilation.then after that mayron narin space para sa small air and natural lighting.

Maybe you were referring to the firewall. I love natural light to come in our house too. That's why I love lofts. :)

Anyway, I linked your cubicle post on my company president for a week post ha? :)
Take care, Dee!
