This is my first time to join Mommy Moments. Mommy Moments is a meme that takes place every Friday of the week. Each Friday has its own meme theme where moms can post pictures relevant to such theme and share a story behind those pictures. It's a nice chance for moms to share their beautiful moments with their kids.
For this Friday, 5 June 2009, the theme is your kids' time out with friends. You can share pictures of your kids with their friends.
My son doesn't have lots of friends because we are always mobile. But he has one particular best friend and this is one of the candid shots I took of them.
This was taken on a cold, winter morning in Washington, D. C., near Lincoln Memorial. They were having so much fun and, as you can see, quite oblivious to the world. Good times, good times.

Oh, it looks like it wasn't so cold but in actuality, it was really so chilly. It wasn't snowing because the snow stopped the day before, but what made it so cold was the wind chill factor. I remember we were wearing three shirts before we donned the winter coat.

Spring is beautiful in DC. My son was the state champion and placed 5th in the Nationals but he was chosen by the Nat'l Geographic Society to be part of the 3- member US Team to the World Bee in Mexico this coming July. :)
