I'm having a snit over some of our utility bills. A few months back, I discovered that two of our utility bills have overcharge in them. Meaning, we have been charged more than the appropriate amount due from us. I have reported them with their respective utility company. It might have been better if the overcharging didn't take place, but mistakes do happen and we accepted that. As long as they make the necessary corrections, all's well that ends well as they say. One company did make the necessary corrections. But the other one took quite a long time to do so. I still had to make several calls before they finally acted on it. But the thing is, up till now, the over charges haven't been fully refunded yet. I don't know what happened. I really just hope that they refund all of it soon, without me having to remind them again because it's so time consuming to get in touch with them. They make you wait for minutes, and at the end of waiting, they still don't provide you logical answers.
I used to think that since bills were machine-generated nowadays, they're mistake-proof already. But take it from our experience: it is not mistake-proof. So, that is why it's important to check your bills always. Trust me, it will save you lots of bucks, lots of time and just as plenty of hassle like the one I went through.
