Funny Anecdote

A funny thing happened to me and my husband yesterday morning. We woke up, went down and took our breakfast. When we came back up again, we found our bedroom door locked! In short, we were locked out of our own room! Why? Well, we were careless enough, or maybe one of us was, to have locked the knob on our way out! We didn't have a key to open it from the outside. You might be asking now: how did we get in back? Did we force the lock open? Called the locksmith, maybe? Or did we just resort to breaking the door? No, thankfully, we did nothing of the sort. My son was inside, sleeping, so we had to resort to waking him. Now, you might say: bah, what's the big deal? Actually, my son wakes up late. At that time, he wouldn't be awake for another 3 hours or so, at least. So when we kept on knocking and calling him at the other side of the door, we feared it would have to take us hours and hoarse voices later before we'd be opened up. He's a sound sleeper and not even the most huge noise (if you can apply "huge" to a noise, that is) can wake him up. So half the time when we were ramming pounding knocking on the door, we feared we might get stuck outside for long. And that didn't bode well for the both of us, you know, because we had tons of work to do. Anyway, my son, bless him, heard the knocking and after just a couple of minutes, opened up. Whew, what a relief! Bedroom, sweet, bedroom again.
