I've been watching updates on the destruction brought by typhoon Ondoy in Metro Manila, Philippines and it's really heartbreaking. It's so sad to see how typhoon Ondoy had affected badly so many people. These people are suffering right now and we cannot even begin to imagine how that is. Let's pray for them. Let's pray that all will be well and that God would grant them the strength and good health to pick up the pieces of their disrupted life and move on. And for anyone who can help, in whatever little way, let us help these people.

It's horrible. I haven't seen any pictures, yet, but I have been reading - and the images from Katrina, Rita, and Ike are still vivid in my mind. We were lucky here, high and dry - our worst damage was the loss of a tree during Rita (that grew back into TWO trees!) and the loss of our back fence during Ike (I would not have cried to let it stay down - I don't believe that good fences make good neighbors, but they do isolate us well). Prayers for all affected.
