My Second Entry for Food Trip Friday

Here's my second entry for Food Trip Friday.

A few weeks ago, we caved in - we went buffet dining, when we promised ourselves a few months back that we wouldn't do so again. Why did we promise ourselves that, in the first place? Well, buffet dining is good, but we sort of find it expensive for us since we are small eaters anyway. I eat little, my husband eats little too, and the more so with my son. So we decided not to go buffet dining the next time. But just like some promises that are meant to be broken, we decided otherwise a couple of weeks ago. I was literally food tripping at that time - meaning, craving for delicious food. So we said "What the heck, we'll eat buffet this time". Which, as we found out later, wasn't a good decision at all, since, again, we ended up eating very little. The price we paid for the food wasn't really commensurate with the amount of food we ate. The pictures you see consists of what I ate, along with soup, another little serving of the main course and a super little serving of Blueberry Cheesecake. And that's it. Tsk, tsk, it wasn't really worth it. I couldn't make myself eat more, because that was all that I could muster. Anyway, we were scratching our heads when we came out of the restaurant. We need to think more wisely the next time, I guess.

Oh, sorry for that long rant. I got carried away. And I guess, I'm still regretting our decision to eat buffet at that time. So much money wasted. And for a cheapskate like me, that really sucks.

Anyway, enough of that. I invite you to check out Food Trip Friday for more delicious food.

Henry Poole Is Here

Have you watched Henry Poole Is Here? We did! And we found it really nice.

Henry Poole tells the story of Henry Poole (played by Luke Wilson) who returns to the place where he grew up and bought an empty suburban house. He was depressed and all he wanted was to be left alone. Instead, he finds himself surrounded by neighbors who helped him get reconnected back to the world, and who he also helped in the process.

I find Henry Poole Is Here complex and deep. It's charming, thought-provoking and inspiring. It was well-performed and emotionally stirring. It gives us hope. And the great soundtrack and nice visuals didn't hurt either. Take the time to watch Henry Poole Is Here and be inspired. It's all worth it.

Best Way to Get Life Insurance Quotes

We know that life insurance is such an important part of anyone's financial portfolio. So if you still don't have life insurance now, I believe it's time to get one. To start getting that life insurance, you need to look for life insurance quotes. You can visit an Internet site that provides competing life insurance quotes and has a free and secure online process. This site will easily search for your life insurance quotes and they even take less than five minutes of your time. All you need to do is fill out an online form that you are requesting quotes. They will then do the necessary searching for you. They are not an insurance company, so you are assured that the data they will provide you is unbiased. Plus, you need not fear that the information you provide will be shared to other entities, as they are committed to protecting your information and privacy. I think looking for life insurance quotes this way is much better and convenient than if you call several insurance companies and ask for information.

Girls Talk: Favorite Accessories

It's Thursday once again, and thank God I remembered that it's the day of Niko's Girls Talk, so I can now join. I sometimes forget to join because whenever I remember to, it's way past Thursday already. Now, I'm just in time!

Today's topic is favorite accessories. I used to wear lots of accessories everyday, but now, I don't know, I much prefer the simpler look, so my everyday accessories just consist of these:

I just wear my reliable watch, my engagement ring (the one beside my watch), my wedding ring (the ring in the middle of two rings), a ring I wear in my right ring finger (the one with the pink stones), and my stud earrings. If I'm wearing earrings, I don't wear necklace anymore; or when I wear a necklace, I don't wear earrings anymore. I just feel overly accessorized if I wear both earrings and necklace at the same time. I used to like wearing bracelets, but, same thing, I feel so accessorized now when I wear them. So, I just limit myself to these accessories for my daily wear. So that's it, my accessories.

For more beautiful accessories, visit Girls Talk.

A Vacation in Orlando

My dad and mom are busy preparing for their orlando vacations. They're leaving in a week, and since their destination is Orlando in Florida, they're really excited. They're visiting my sister at the same time that they would get some rest and relaxation.

I would be excited too if I were in their shoes. Orlando is such a fun place to be. There are lots of activities to engage into when in Orlando. You can go theme park hopping in Walt Disney World, or go to Universal Studios, SeaWorld Adventure Park or Kennedy Space Center. You can also go to beaches; or for those who love the night life, go and see some shows at night. Oh, the thought of all those activities just makes me happy. How I wish I can take time off and go on a vacation too. Soon, I promise, I would.

Sister's Week

My super nice blogging friend, Clarissa of Kizuna, tagged me with this one. Thanks a lot, Clang! I'm so touched that you never fail to remember me in your tags.

This is a Sister's Week tag, and here it goes:

Be the kind of woman who when her feet hits the floor each morning,
The devil would say "Oh Crap, She's Up."
Sister, life is too short to wake up with regrets.
So love the people who treat you right.
Love the ones who don't, just because you can.
Believe that everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Kiss slowly. Forgive quickly.
God never said life would be easy.
He just promise it would be worth it.
Today is sister's day.

To the cool women that have touched my life.
this is for you.....LOVE U!!!

Rules:
Tag all your sisters, mothers, daughters, aunts, girlfriends,
including me if I am like one. If you get tagged back seven times, you are loved.

I'm tagging Clarissa, Rossel, Liz, Lindz, Joji, and Jena. Anyone who hasn't yet been tagged with this before and who would like to grab this, is welcome to do so. Thanks and have fun posting!

Where to Do Your Search

What's great about the Internet is that you can download files from it. Whether you want music, books, movies, television shows or what have you, you can almost always find it in the Internet. The Internet gives us easy access to a lot of information and stuff. We are lucky to be living in this age, I guess. Just recently, a friend directed me to rapidshare, a site where you can download and upload files. To help one look for files in rapidshare, one needs a good rapidshare search engine, though.

If you are fond of downloading with rapidshare, or searching and looking for rapidshare files, music or anything that can be downloaded, you can do your Rapidshare Search, with rapidfileseek.com. This is a new rapidshare search engine which you can use to find any downloads that you are looking for.

The Importance of a Good Floor

If there's one thing I've learned when we moved into this house where we are staying now, it's the fact that the condition of one's floor is quite important for one's well being. You see, this place where we are now have floors which look like they've seen better days. Well, to be precise, they've actually seen better days. They are chipped and stained, and really quite bothersome. They feel untidy at times even if we've just cleaned them. Just looking at them gives me headache, that I just try not to think about them. Whenever we go to other houses which has floors in good condition, I always wish our floors are like that too.

So me and my husband promised ourselves to replace them soon. We'd have floor tiles installed once our finances would allow, which hopefully would be soon. To prepare for that, I'm starting to check out companies that sell floor and wall tiles. I've found a good one named BuyTile.com, which strives to be a leader in the stone and tile industry. They are committed to quality products and great customer service that I'm confident buying from them would be a good decision.

I'm crossing my fingers that we'll have new floor tiles soon.

Torrent Search Site

There are times when you need or want to download large files. My husband, for example, has an incorrigible habit of downloading the latest releases of Debian, Fedora or other large software distributions. These downloads consist of large, multiple DVDs. While these open source software are available for free as a full download from their respective websites, torrents are way more efficient in terms of resources, said he.

But searching for torrents is a mess. You need to look for torrent files before you can actually download the stuff. What aggravates the matter is that torrent sites usually have a complex interface. Queen torrent aims to change all that. It is a torrents search site with a simple interface and a powerful search engine. They also have huge regularly updated torrent files base. Bots cover thousands of sites with torrent files and add them to the database everyday. A bit of caution, though. When downloading files, please make sure that you are not violating other's intellectual property. Torrents, per se, are not illegal; but particular torrents may be.

Shopping with ShopWiki

Shopping for the holidays can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. So what I do to make it easier for me to shop for gifts for loved ones and friends, is to do my shopping online. For me, shopping online is way better than going to the traditional brick and mortar stores. When I shop online, I get to stay in the comfort of my home and avoid the throngs of shoppers in the mall. Also, I don't have to dress up, drive, and spend on gas. I get to save the environment too when I don't drive and spread fumes in the air.

I'm doing my online shopping with ShopWiki.com. ShopWiki is a great site that guides one on where to find specific products in the Internet, since it crawls the web for every store in the Internet. Other shopping sites only give you stores that paid to be listed. ShopWiki, on the other hand, provides more stores, ensuring us that we will see more products in the Internet. This means we get to decide on the best products and where we can buy them, which translates to better deals and savings.

So on to my shopping, I'm looking at house wares and home maintenance products, for a start. I'm thinking of getting my brother-in-law a steam cleaner for his kitchen and bath. This would make cleaning those areas easier. I'd also like to get a store-all caddy for myself, so that my toiletries would be placed in just one container. That would make it easier for me to get whatever I need. For a friend who lives in her stuffy apartment, a reliable humidifier would be perfect. For my mom, food storage containers will keep her refrigerator organized. I'm thinking of getting my sister a vacuum cleaner. Or maybe, a deep carpet cleaner. I'll have to make up my mind on that one. In the mean time, I'll continue shopping for my other family members and friends.

For an easier time shopping for the holidays, do it online, and, do it ahead of time.

Underfloor Heating: A Better Alternative

If you're looking for a better alternative to keep the floors of your home warm and snug in the coming chilly winter mornings, why not consider underfloor heating. Having underfloor heating in your home is more advantageous for you than using the typical conventional method of forced air heating.

To start with, underfloor heating is more economical and environment friendly. They are economical because they are more affordable and cost-efficient than the conventional heating systems. Since floor heating produces maximum heat distribution all over the room, you will be able to lower the temperature 2-3 degrees while still being able to maintain a comfortable room temperature, allowing you to save on your electricity bill in the process. They are friendly to the environment because they run on natural fuel sources like gas, wood, water and others, so they do not pollute the environment.

Undefloor heating is also healthy. Since underfloor heating makes less air movement, fewer dust particles will float around, making it beneficial for anyone in the house who suffers from allergy.

There are more good reasons why underfloor heating is better than the other methods. Why not give it a try to find out? A lot of people find it really beneficial. Ordering is easy and you get to avail of free next day delivery at excellent prices and with great customer support at a secure site.

Do You Smell Somethin' Burnin' in Your Ford Lately?

This one is big. Ford recalls 4.5 Million of its cars from the road. The reason? A faulty switch within the cruise control system. The faulty switch can leak hydraulic fluid, overheat, smoke, and then burn. This could prove to be a huge fire hazard. Quite scary specially if you drive your Ford in long distances. I think these cars should come with fire extinguishers as standard equipment.

What is bothersome is that Ford does not seem to be trying hard to make sure that Ford owners get their recalled vehicles back into the dealerships to get fixed. The recall was not spread around by Ford but by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Ford should be responsible enough to make sure the cars get off the road quick and these defects get fixed soon.

What You Need to Know About Infant Formula

Do you know that store brand formula are nutritionally equivalent to brand-name infant formulas? Yes, they are! And the good thing is, they are less costly than the expensive, brand-name infant formula.

We all know that breast milk is still best for babies. As a matter of fact, The American Academy of Pediatrics recognizes breast milk as the gold standard in infant nutrition. And no matter how companies would convince you that their formula brands offer the same benefits as breast milk, none, in fact, do. So for moms who would like to breast feed but cannot do so for some reason like multiple births or the need to go back to work, giving your babies infant formula is a safe alternative. No, you need not resort to expensive, brand-name infant formulas. As I've said before, store brand formulas are nutritionally equivalent to brand-name infant formulas. Giving your babies expensive, brand-name infant formulas made by big pharmaceutical companies does not mean that your baby is getting any closer to human breast milk than when you give him a store-brand formula. As a mom, you can choose to supplement your breast milk with any formula since all formulas are actually regulated by FDA and are nutritionally equivalent. With store brand formulas, you are giving your baby what he needs, and at the same time, you save on costs.

Mothers need to know that as of October 1, 2009, a new WIC initiative which aims to increase breastfeeding rates among families, reallocates funding for all currently provided foods, such as infant formula, juices, fresh fruits and vegetables, and baby foods. With this, there could be a reduction of up to 20% in infant formula subsidies, resulting to parents who in the past had their formulas paid for by WIC, may now have to pay their formula on their own.

Gayla Bentley--Fashion for All Sized Women

Who said that modern and fashionable clothes are only for those skinny women who could be found gracing the covers of popular fashion magazines? You know, those types who could make you feel guilty of the Durian fruit you recently ate? Sadly, those women comprise only a tiny percentage of the total women population. Could big sized women not participate in the Cat Walk parade, too?

Gayla Bentley made The Gayla Bentley Fashion Design Group for the purpose of creating designs to fit any shaped and sized women. With her help, it is now possible for all sized women to have fashionable, desirable, modern clothes. About time, really.

Great Deals in Walmart's Parent's Choice Infant Formula

For all moms and parents out there, do you know that store brand formula, or those which are labeled with the names of retail store brands, are as nutritionally equivalent as name-brand formulas? Actually, all infant formulas sold in the United States are subject to the same exacting standards of the FDA, in accordance with the Infant Formula Act of 1980 and the subsequent LSRO report commissioned by FDA in 1998. This legislation gave the FDA the authority to make sure that all infant formulas sold in the United Sates meet the minimum and maximum nutrient specifications. And in terms of savings, retail store brands which are sold at more than 35,000 retailers, grocery stores, and drugstores, including Walmart, Target, Sam's Club, Babies "R" Us, Kroger, Walgreens, and CVS, usually save parents as high as up to 50% on formula.

Now, the good news is, special cans of the store brand Parent's Choice Infant Formula are currently on sale and available exclusively at Walmart! Parents can now buy two cans of Parent's Choice Infant Formula for just $10! A 15.5 oz (440 gram) can of Parent's Choice Milk Infant Formula is on sale for only $5.00 each, while a 12.9 oz (366 gram) can of Parent's Choice Gentle Infant Formula for babies with fussiness or gas is on special sale for only $5.00 each! Hurry now because this sale is only for a limited time!

It's quite important for many mothers to know about this in the light of the recent changes in the Women, Infants and Children program. Since October 1, 2009, a new WIC initiative, which aimed at increasing breastfeeding rates among families, reallocates funding for all currently provided foods, such as infant formula, juices, baby food, and fresh fruits and vegetables. This may mean a reduction of up to 20% in infant-formula subsidies, such that parents who, in the past, had most of their formula paid for by WIC may now have to pay for their formula on their own.

Halo Cloud

A few days ago, a halo cloud was seen hovering over Moscow city. Looking at pictures and videos of this natural phenomenon, this halo cloud looks very unnatural. Sure, it might just be nothing more than a play of light, or the result of the sun's rays hitting the clouds at a particular angle; but after weird changes in the weather lately, specially in the Philippines, it seems to be a bit creepy. There is no explanation yet as to what caused this grand ring of light to display in the sky but what I am hoping is that it does not mean more typhoons and floods to come.

The Advantages of Using Underfloor Heating

Do you know that using underfloor heating to warm the floors of your home is actually more advantageous for you than using the typical conventional method of forced air heating?

For starters, underfloor heating is more economical and environment-friendly than forced air heating. Underfloor heating is more efficient since they deliver similar results as conventional heating, but operate at much lower temperatures and utilizes a thermal store. This lowers down the cost to both of you and the environment because it consumes less fuel. Maximum economy is attained when used in conjunction with a condensing boiler since they perform most efficiently while working at lower temperatures. You actually get to save around 20-25%. On larger properties, however, savings can run as high as 40%

Floor Heating Online can help you have underfloor heating in your homes. They are one of the leading underfloor heating companies in the UK and has a wide range of products and accessories, including cost-effective underfloor heaters, floor insulation and heating mats for your homes. You know you're in good hands when dealing business with them because they are a customer focused business, with the aim of bringing you the best quality systems that are currently available, while giving you unsurpassed value for money at the same time.

Preparing your homes for the coming cold winter season is vitally important, but it need not be expensive nor detrimental to the environment. So consider Floor Heating Online in ensuring that the floors of your home are warm, and at the same time you save on costs and help save the environment.

How to Make Columbus Day Fun for Your Kids

My son loves history. I think he got that from me. But let's face it, most kids actually do not. Admittedly, one can't find anything fun or useful about something that happened many years ago. However, the good thing is, you can make use of your kids' natural abilities and interests to make history such a fun topic to be into. You can begin doing so with Christopher Columbus this Columbus Day in October.

Below is a tip sheet by Lori Jordan-Rice on how to make Columbus Day fun for your kids. It "includes ideas for fun activities for children with all kinds of abilities, such as aspiring young artists, writers and scientists".

"Lori Jordan-Rice is the author of "Miss Trimble’s Trapdoor" and "Miss Trimble’s Trapdoor: The Perseverance of Christopher Columbus," a new educational children's book series. Kids can visit www.MissTrimblesTrapdoor.com to write to main characters Tyler and Barney, as well as for helpful educational links, crosswords and word searches."

Columbus Day: How to Make History Fun for Your Children

If you ask your elementary school child what his or her favorite subject in school is, you may hear about science, reading, math, or even lunch or recess! A less likely answer is history. So many kids find the study of the past boring or of little use. Fortunately there are many ways you can use your child’s natural abilities and interests to make history fun. What better place to begin the adventure of American history than with Christopher Columbus this Columbus Day in October?

For the reading enthusiast:

If your child is particularly excited by reading and the language arts, you may want to begin by checking out some books about Columbus from the school or local library or visiting a bookstore. Children who enjoy reading are often open to suggestions about what to read. Your valuable input is still a wonderful motivator, even in the upper grades. The simple act of a parent showing interest and asking questions about what a child is reading will make it much more enjoyable than if it were a solitary endeavor.

For the budding writer:

Don’t let the fun end with reading. Expand on what has been read by writing. Let your budding writer keep a journal or write letters home about what it must have been like to be aboard the Santa Maria with Columbus. Have him or her write to Queen Isabella as Columbus trying to convince the queen to fund his voyage across the Atlantic Ocean. Encourage him or her to take a different viewpoint, such as that of a native encountering Columbus and his crew for the first time.

For the scientist:

Have a little scientist on your hands? Try investigating the theories of the scientific world during the late 15th century. Most educated people had already turned away from the “flat earth” theory by the time of Columbus. What made them change their minds? Direct kids who are drawn to the life sciences to discover along with the great explorer Columbus the plant and animal life of the New World.

For the math whiz:

Children who appreciate the logic and order of math may like calculating the distance from Spain across the Atlantic Ocean to the Bahamas. How many days did it take Columbus and his crew to reach their destination, and at how many miles per day? How does this compare to modern transportation?

For the artist:

A young artist may enjoy creating models the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria out of clay or paper mache. Let your child draw or paint scenes from all the locations explored by Columbus. Encourage creativity and utilize a variety of materials such as colored pencils, markers, and water colors.

For the musically inclined:

Musically inclined children may enjoy learning all the words to the song that begins “In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue….” Incorporate musical instruments along with the verse, or even create new words or a different tune to the familiar song.

For the spatial learner:

Many children learn best when they have a physical connection to what they are learning. A fun activity for these kids would be measuring out the dimensions of the ships of Columbus in an open area, perhaps outdoors. All three ships were less than 30 feet wide, and the smaller two were about 70-80 feet long. How would it feel to be inside such a vessel with many other people for two months? Add to the fun by packing a “sailor’s lunch” of biscuits, beans, and salty fish such as that actually eaten by Columbus and his crew.

For the creative kid:

If your child is the creative type, he or she may enjoy pretending to be a modern day Columbus. Imagine there is a distant land just waiting to be explored. Design a plan as to how you will get there. Who and what will you take on your journey? What kids of treasures will you discover when you arrive? Children who work best as a group may want to make a game out of recreating the fateful journey of Columbus and his men in 1492. Besides Captain Columbus of the Santa Maria, be sure to have two other children play the roles of the Pinzon brothers who headed up the Nina and Pinta.

For the kidpreneur:

Even kids who have their sights set on the business word someday can find some fun with the Columbus story.. The great explorer traded bells, glass beads, and red caps to the natives for balls of cotton and parrots. Young entrepreneurs can set up a “swap shop” with other children in the neighborhood or class with items they agree are of equal value and are willing to trade.

History need not be boring. As parents it is our job to find ways to use our children’s natural abilities and inclinations to make learning every subject fun. American history can be an adventure for all children, those who love reading, math, science, the arts, and yes, even lunch and recess!

Food Trip Friday #28

Food Trip Friday is a food meme that happens - guess when - every Friday! I always see this meme in my blogging buddies' blogs, yet I still haven't got the chance to join, either because I haven't taken pictures of food, or I sometimes forget it's a Friday. But now, I did both - I mean, I was able to take a picture of a food, and I remembered today's a Friday. Yay!

For my entry, I'm posting the ever famous Max's Fried Chicken - yummy and sarap to the bones!

I love Max's Fried Chicken because it's so soft, juicy and has the right taste that I like.

For more mouth-watering dishes, head on to Food Trip Friday.

About Blog Advertising

More and more people are getting into the blogging bandwagon these days. I've seen a lot of new bloggers; while others, who have been blogging for a long time now, are creating new blogs themselves. It's nothing to be surprised about, really. Why, blogging is actually so much fun. Some blog to develop their creative writing skills, others do it to share their opinions on a variety of subject matter, some engage in it to tell their everyday life stories, others would like to make friends online, and still, others blog because they want to earn money.

For now, let's talk or focus about the aspect of blogging in order to earn money. In case you don't know about it yet, blogging will enable you to earn some money. You don't really get filthy rich with blogging, but if you're hardworking and willing to learn enough, you get to earn enough that will help you a lot in your daily needs.

How do you earn with blogging? There are actually a lot of ways. But one good way is through blog advertising. To do this, you need to sign up with a website where you can get paid for writing honest reviews. One such website is www.blogadvertisingstore.com. With this website, bloggers and advertisers come together to provide an easy to use marketplace, which is made to allow blog advertisers to target the specific kind of bloggers who will promote their products and services. Here, advertisers will make available review jobs and describe the requirements that bloggers need to satisfy in order to get rewarded financially. If the blogger qualifies, he or she will write a post about the product or service. Then, BlogAdvertisingStore.com reviews the post created by the blogger and notifies both parties of the result. Easy, right? Right.

Blog advertising works because lots of people love to hear the opinions of real people. And blogs are written by real people.

BlogAdvertisingStore.com has their own blog too, that is quite helpful in making your blogging endeavor a success. An example of one of their helpful articles is the "Best Blog Advertising Methods to Bring in Traffic".

You can also check Wikipedia if you want to learn some other points about blog advertising.

The Advantages of Using Web Directories

Webmasters use web directories to increase their search engine rankings on result pages. This is one of the ways a web directory can help your website. Web directories enhance your website's online traffic so that it can achieve enough recognition to be acknowledged on the World Wide Web.

But first, what are web directories? Web directories are websites which provide one way links of other web sites. These other web sites are arranged according to different categories for easy browsing. Web directories are checked and reviewed manually in order to be placed in its proper category. Examples of some web directories are Yahoo Directory and DMOZ.

Web directories can be paid web directories or free web directories. Listings in paid web directories enjoy the benefit of being instantly added to the directory under its declared category. Listings on free web directories, on the other hand, can at times take six months before it is approved.

Aside from increasing your website's traffic, web directories will also give your website an edge in search engine results. This is because search engines use manual submitted web directory scheduling in their page ranking criteria.

Since being listed in a web directory is a link to your site, this increases your ranking in search engines.

Avatar Questions

Do you know how when you join social networking sites or when you create your own blogs, you get to post your pictures as avatars? You know, avatars? Those small, squared pictures you see all over the net. Yes, that's it! The one where someone knows she is reading your post or your reply because she gets to see your face, or a certain part of your body, or for some, a graphic or a cartoon picture.

Anyway, this morning, during our early morning travel, my husband and I were tuned in to this radio program hosted by a popular radio personality. We were stuck in traffic (just a light one), so we choose to get entertained by the topic of the hour (nothing better to do, and instead of yapping at the futility of being stuck in traffic, we listened to the radio instead). The radio personality and someone with him was talking about what an an avatar showing a bikini clad girl means. They said that when someone posts an avatar, in Facebook or in any other social networking site, of herself clad in a bikini, that girl isn't a virgin anymore. Whoa! How did they come up with that? I don't know. We got surprised and ended laughing. And shaking our heads. So how about you, what do you think? Did that make sense?

Have Fun Playing Aion

Review http://www.aionalliance.com/ A great way to relieve stress and get that much needed relaxation is to engage or participate in online games. Online games are the thing nowadays. Not surprising really, since online games are quite fun to get busy with. They have rich graphics and backed with high technology.

One interesting online game is aion. Aion is a massively multi-player online role-playing game. With the world of Aion, there are lots of adventure. You can choose a race and a class and go through a character creation process. Aion has rich graphics, which makes its virtual world quite realistic. I heard that the most amazing part of this game is the adventure. With this game, you get to fight many battles, lend a helping hand to those who need it, right the wrongs of the past, and hear the stories of many.

The site has an aion forum, where you can meet other players and hear their experiences or share yours. At the forum, you can also pick up a tip or two on how you can better play the game. Joining the forum is fast and easy. It has a free registration which only takes a minute or two.

Try this game to have fun. Who knows, you might just find it suitable to your taste.

World Habitat Day

I learned from my nice blogging friend Fedhz that October 5 is World Habitat Day. The thrust of World Habitat Day can be summarized with this:

Let's stand up on World Habitat Day and let it be known that affordable, adequate housing should be a priority everywhere - in our communities, in our towns, in our country, in our world.

According to the United Nations, millions of people in the world today do not have homes. Still, millions experience severe housing problems and are living without adequate sanitation, with irregular or no electricity supply and no adequate security.

World Habitat Day aims to foster and raise awareness of these conditions in order to bring these issues to the national and international level.

Join us as we raise awareness of poor living conditions around the world, by spreading World Habitat Day.
